A former Crest Ridge teacher has been sentenced to two years of probation for sexual misconduct.
Dylan J. Skeens, a former coach and physical education teacher, entered a guilty plea for the misdemeanor Jan. 7. He had initially pled not guilty to the felony charge of sexual contact with a student in August.
Skeens was arrested July 25, 2025, one day after he was indicted by a grand jury.
Probable cause states he communicated with the victim through several untitled Google documents beginning in June 2024.
The victim disclosed the Google documents were used to communicate on a regular basis.
Court documents describe occasions where Skeens and the victim had sexual contact numerous times over the course of the 2024-25 school year.
Skeens was placed by administrative leave by the district in late April and eventually terminated.
As part of his probation, Skeens must abide to all sex offender registration rules, not have contact with the victim or family, enter and complete any treatment program as directed by the probation officers, consent to random urine, breath or blood testing and consent to a search of property if requested by law enforcement.
