A 17-year-old Knob Noster male died, while four other teens were injured, in an accident at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, in Johnson County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 17-year-old female from Knob Noster was driving a 2020 Ford Exhibition on Northeast 650 Road a quarter mile northeast of 301 Road when the vehicle began sliding off the center line of the roadway, ran off the left side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned.
The 17-year-old male, who was an occupant, was not wearing a seat belt, was transported to Truman Medical Center by Life Flight. He was pronounced dead at the hospital overnight.
A 13-year-old male occupant from Knob Noster suffered moderate injuries. It is unknown if he was wearing a seat belt. He was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by the Johnson County Ambulance District.
A 16-year-old female, who was not wearing a seat belt, from Knob Noster suffered minor injuries and was transported to WMMC by JCAD.
A 18-year-old female who was wearing a seat belt, from Knob Noster suffered minor injuries and was transported to WMMC by JCAD.
The 17-year-old female, who Wass wearing a seat belt, was transported to WMMC by personal conveyance.
A Concordia man, 25, suffered serious injuries, a Concordia man, 28, suffered serious injuries, and a Concordia woman, 29, suffered serious injuries at 4:40 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, in a Johnson County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report the 25-year-old was driving a 2013 Honda Civic west on U.S. 50, just east of Rt. Z, when he traveled off the roadway and struck a tree.
The injured were not wearing seat belts, and were transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.
A Warrensburg woman, 22, suffered minor injuries at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, in a Johnson County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, she was driving a 2015 Ford Focus west on Route DD, west of Missouri Highway 13, when she swerved to avoid striking another vehicle that pulled out in front of her and traveled off in the roadway.
She was wearing a seat belt, and was transported to Western Missouri medical center in Warrensburg.
A Windsor woman, 34, suffered moderate injuries, and a Windsor man, 37, suffered moderate injuries at 10:57 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, in a Johnson County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the man was driving a 2007 Saturn Aura north on Route WW, north of County RD SE 1050, when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned.
The woman was wearing a seat belt and was transported by Pettis County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center. The man was not wearing a seat belt, and was transported there as well.
