An 18-year-old female from Bates City suffered minor injuries in a Johnson County accident on Sunday, July 13.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Bates City woman was driving a 2014 Ford Escape westbound on U.S. Highway 50 west of NW 191 Road at 12:40 p.m. when she overtook and struck the rear of a 2006 Mini Cooper, driving by an 18-year-old female from Joplin.
Both parties were wearing a seat belt. The Bates City woman refused treatment at the scene.
